I paid $1500 in investments. I should be receiving $6000 back but he went no show

Today I was supposed to receive money back on my $1500 investment. I sent as gift/personal. Is there ANYTHING that I can do as he is blatantly scamming me?

We tons of chats and I have the public info paypal shows such as number, etc. Our logs clearly states that he WILL pay me back the money, no buts.

Would I lose in court? I did send as gift, so I don't think I can take it with paypal.

You have sent as gift so you can't raise dispute in paypal. Never involve in such type of scams.

And that's that? I'm not sure if it was GIFT, but it was definitely as Personal to avoid fees. How do I check in the logs whether it was GIFT exactly or not.

And if it was sent as gift.. I'm basically scammed and that's that? What if I took him to court or use some sort of law enforcement outside of paypal?

I can't dispute for me not being satisfied. I can dispute it as "unauthorized transaction only. I paid a $1500 then another $500. Spaced out through time.

paypal won't handle such cases. They got guidelines, you need to read and work around it to convince paypal to do a charge back on the person's account.

Was this investment of yours from a reliable company it sounds too me as being a scam asking for payment by paypal must have sent up a red flag at some stage,i have to admit i dont have all the facts but gut feeling tells me you are going to be out of pocket on this one.
