I own lendingvilla.com and I am a total noob to online marketing. What can I do to make money with this domain? I don't want to sell the domain. My goal is to create a website (maybe a lending portal) open to suggestions. Would like to make $100-$200 a day in ad revenue, this is a long term goal. How would I generate traffic to the site? Is it a good idea to use joomla as a CMS? Any advice is appreciated. Thank you
You would have to work really hard to get $100-$200 revenue from ads, you need to offer something others don't

Here would be my process: 1) Be clear on what you want of your website, be it a lending portal or what you choose. 2) Master as much as you can about that subject & about web creation. That might be lending legal issues & understanding online transaction venues like paypal. Also, SEO, php, forum creation, there's a wealth of information to master. 3) Write down your goals/plan for your website, and then create it from that plan. For generating traffic advertisements, or self promotion works great.
Great domain name! Consider mortgage lead generation. Mortgage brokers pay good money for leads. You could optimize the site for the search engines. This won't be a quick solution but it can be quite profitable if you market it well.
Could you possibly set up some sort of agreement with a European holiday agency that would pay you commission for every rent they receive through your website? (so yeah pretty much a portal site like mentioned above, I'm just going into a bit of detail ) Ask them if they could supply you with an RSS feed, or similar, that self-updates their villas for hire and every time someone clicks and books one through visiting your site primarily you earn a pre-agreed percentage of the booking? Just an idea off the top of my head
