I would say no. First, you don't have to submit to G to get indexed. In fact, many feel that it is much better for G to discover your site on its own, by following links. These days, G is indexing new content extremely quickly. There are stories on this board of people finding new pages indexed within just a few hours. So, a new site with some backlinks should get indexed within just a couple of days on average. The key is backlinks. If a popular site that gets crawled often links to you, chances are you'll be indexed quickly. By the way, getting indexed is certainly not a basis for claiming "I own Google". Having multiple sites in the top 10 positions for a competitive keyword probably is basis for the claim. But even then, the claim would have to be "I own this keyword on Google" and not "I own Google". /*tom*/
