I own a free webhost and someone uploaded child porn... What to do??

    If you the person please tell me what I said wrong?

    If you were a free host would you check everysingle file on your server? No you would not and I doubt very many free web hosts do.

    If it happens again, Just call the Police.
    I dont know, where you are from...:), basically your country police should help you in this rather than troubling you. But, keep all the data ready to prove them.

    my advice
    just keep the reports , and files on your Pc to have a proof of the things have happen on your server
    you actually did the right thing , as you have blocked his IP ,...
    also check out your TOS of your hosting website
    had you put any restriction for porn... thingies ? and mainly child pornography ?
    if yes
    then whats wrong ?

    (that was just a suggestion to my DP friend)

    What kind of person would keep the child porn files on his computer and not report it to the authorities? That would be tantamount to committing the crime of knowingly possessing child porn. Why in the world would he want to do that?

    I can think of no stupider course of action one could take than simply keeping the files and not reporting it. (sorry to be so blunt)

    Either keep AND report, or delete the files. Your suggestion that he simply keep the child porn files and not tell anyone is horrid. Anyone else looking at that computer could report him for possession of child porn. And the excuse that he was keeping it as evidence of someone else's crime is pathetically weak and frankly, I would put someone jail for it.

    There is NO reason to have child porn on your computer. If it is there because of someone else actions then report them.

    thats Reports and files
    which mainly refers to the login , connection , date of uploading ,etc reports and files like website html files etc
    sure i didnt meant child porn movies , as i myself wont do such a thingy
    beside the illegal action
