I noticed a lacking but applicable forum is missing for questions and issues!

I am thinking (of course because I have an issue LOL) that there isn't a topic or sub topic that covers browsers, or am I just missing it somewhere?

For instance What would cause my Firefox to start displaying SOME, but not all, links on websites, as "strike through" text?

I am sure "I" didn't change such a setting, but then lord knows I have enough add-ons and plug-ins that any setting change in one of them might have, but cannot for the life of me find where such a setting that applies to links showing as such could be.

So I thought, since often times browsers depict the manner in which we code our sites a topic or sub topic to discuss new versions and their restrictions, as well as backward and cross compatibilities would spare many of us looking for ghosts in our code when it is a browser attribute or parsing method that is responsible, it would have helped for me to know the IE and FF had different closing div requirements, for instance, or how embed and object are needed for different browsers, and which for which.

Anyway....it is just a suggestion, or would like to understand why wouldn't such a topic be valid or worth covering, might even learn something from that response as well :)

    Thanks for listening anyway!

    TSG!

Shawn will create new forums as he perceives the need.

If the question is about your own site not displaying properly in any browser, you should ask in the HTML & Web Design section. If you're having problem with browsers themselves, you can ask in General Chat - that's a pretty general user issue and not really a "webmaster issue" that would have its own section.
