I no-indexed my PDFs - They still show in Google SERPs?

    Hi, I added this to my .htaccess file in cpanel under web root:
    <FilesMatch "\.pdf$">
    header set x-robots-tag: noindex
    </FilesMatch>

    I even added this to my robots.txt (a wordpress plugin)
    User-agent: *
    Disallow: *.pdf$

    How long does it usually take for content to stop showing is Google because my PDFs are still showing?
