    I need hosting for my wordpress blog .. but there are a lot of companies and I am confused in selecting the best one , I need good hosting which is not that costly .. anyone got an idea ?

    Hostgator is quite good but it is somewhat costly IMO. I am using tmzhosting and it is working fine for me till now and their prices are quite low. Plus, the owner is a member of DP. You can have a look at their plans if it suits you. :)

    I've used Hostgator since back when Brent was just a wee lil gator with a handful of sites on a single server. Still has exceptional service today. I also highly recommend Hostgator.com. Brent has worked really hard to keep the good reputation he has earned.

    Lots of very reasonably priced hosting options, both shared and dedicated.
