Hi guys, I'm in need of your help Lemme Explain the problem I ordered some goods (products) on 3rd of April 2007 from a Company (Performance-Pcs.com) paid them Via Paypal Bill was of $106 They sent me the Products on 5th of April, they told me the products will reach in 10-12 days After 15 days I emailed them saying the products dint reach me yet... , I got a Reply saying "We've sent the products but Most likely still in your Customs dept." Damn! and India's Customs Dept sucks anyways about 3 days back I received a letter from Customs Dept to come and collect the goods, Yesterday I went there to collect the goods but person (official) is asking for a Bank Statement , I told him I paid the company via Paypal then I showed him the Print Out of the Paypal Receipt, but that Person says Show me the Bank Statement huh!!! I'm in Mess, that person is not ready to Understand what is paypal silly Indians Please help me guys what should I do now ? What Bank Statement should I show him ???
oh, a sticky situation. let me think...im not sure, say paypal is a bank, and that receipt is a form of bank statement if all else goes wrong there is always forgery
I told him Paypal is a Bank where all my money is stored that F**KIN A$$HOLE is not ready to understand it
paypal is actually a bank, so email paypal and ask them to write an official email, get it printout and show to the stupid, uneducated officer of the coustom! hey, once there was a raid in a cybercafe, i have read it in the local newspaper, and the police took the monitors thinking that the picture, videos and other stuffs are stored in the monitors! this is not realted to your thread, but it goes to show how much technologically chalanged these people are!! am sure they won't understand paypal, but then the print out of the letter written by the paypal will work. i suggest you meet some higher officials of the coustom, most likely the people of coustom are planning to keep your product, which they usually do

Ask him what is the law regarding this? Use Right To Information act to know whether you have to actually show bank statement to prove that you own it, I guess one ID card should have been enough. Alternatively shelve out few bucks. (Which airport is it? )

kick his ass with 200-300 Rupees,he will satisfy....,its hard to get paypal document verifying that its a bank,show him the paypal ,i guess paypal office is in india too so try to convince him and tell him about paypal,else go for a tea and kick his ass with 200-300 Ruppes

You seem to have landed yourself on a sticky wicket. Anyway, I would explain what paypal with someone (perhaps the management) and see if that works.
