Help!... I keep getting bombarded with these robocalls from McCain and RNC... I have called the local GOP Office at 614-228-2481 and asked them politely to take us off their list. My fiance is a nurse and works nights so she sleeps during the day and every time these robocalls call, they wake her up and takes away her precious sleep time. So I am asking anybody who is willing to help to call 614-228-2481 and tell them to stop calling us. Besides going down there and "Talking" with them in person, I can't think of anything else to get them to stop calling us... we are on the do not call list, but aparently that does not matter...
I do not think political calls are subject to the "no call list" rules. Why not just turn down your ringer for the next week or so? Short of that there in nothing you can do.
I recommend you write a letter to the editor and submit it to your local newspaper complaining about it.
I did see this. Have no idea whether it's legit, or works, so investigate/use at your own risk. http://www.stoppoliticalcalls.org/index.php
I'm in the same boat. Only thing is, it is a barrage of Obama robo calls, one claiming to be Joe the Plumber. The call was at 2:58PM 10/18 from 1-877-622-6294. The caller in the recorded message claims to be Joe the Plumber. The message went on to say "Hi, this is Joe The Plumber, Joe Wurzelbahcer from Toledo Ohio. You might remember me fir the last presidential debates where John McCain falsely used my name in an attempt to describe Barrack Obama's Tax Plan. I, Joe the Plumber am asking you to vote for Barrack Obama..." Or so it went on. The message was about a minute or so long and the caller, again, claimed to be Joe the Plumber. No, this is not the same as the Joe Martinez calls people in Colorado have been getting, this was the Obama campaign using the real Joe's identity in both Ohio and here in Wisconsin.
I got a call from Michelle Obama telling me to do early voting. I was like WTF, my state does not have early voting. She is as big as idiot as her husband.
Are you serious? Can you bring something more than disagreement to your post DOC. I received a pre recorded call asking me to early vote. You can believe it or not I could care less, it is fact which you often have a problem with.
block their number..if you don't have that feature on ur phone then call ur phone service provider and request their number to be blocked
Then why are you wasting time responding? Trying to keep that post count up? I would believe you except your word has no value. By the way, why are you calling me DOC?
why are you wasting time responding if you know the parties are sending out automated phone system. Your just disagreeing to disagree which is your typical response. Why not?
I see you have your finely tuned logic at work again. You should take pleasure that you think Obama is wasting money on calls asking people to vote early in a state that does not allow it. Enjoy those calls - maybe if you are lucky Biden will call you tomorrow. Let us know when you get the call from Ayers.
Have you lost the marbles again? Michelle is not wasting the money the calls are cheap in the scheme of things the party is just misinformed about my state. We have absentee voting not early voting. The Biden joke was almost amusing but I don't think he is allowed to speak. I don't think Ayers is a type of person to call me, I am the type of person he avoids.
Now that is funny. It was a real call alright. Call the 877 number and listen to where it goes. The news outlets that have interviewed me on this subject reported other callers getting the same call in Ohio as well. Yes, the message is "Fake", but it was "faked" by the Obama campaign to try to trick ignorant voters into thinking that "Joe the Plumber" was for Obama, which he clearly is not. You have to remember that the majority of the people that post their nonsense are not even from or living in America. That said, its pretty obvious as to why many would disagree with reality. Where the Obamas are wasting money is with all this paper waste. They've sent a 4 color brochure to my house every day for 43 days now. I've saved every one of them. So much for going green. They are killing trees, wasting money on printing and postage and creating waste for landfills. The money spent on all those fliers could have probably fed several families in the US and abroad. Lord knows how many innocent trees had to lose their lives to insure Obama get elected. Its sad.
I am 100% American. And disagreeing with homebizseo is hardly disagreeing with reality. Take a gander at all his posts and tell me again who is losing their grip on reality. I don't doubt that you are getting all those fliers and calls. I do doubt homeo's claim though. He has displayed a repeated lack of honesty with his posts. That has nothing to do with America or Obama, it is simply a personal failing.
Actually, trees are a renewable resource. Since the advent of responsible rotational logging, the amount of forested area in America hasn't significantly decreased at all. Using a lot of paper will eventually result in more trees, as logging companies plant more to meet demand. Landfills also aren't really a problem. Modern landfills are extraordinarily well designed. They are clean, safe, and produce power by "harvesting" gas caused by decomposition.
That was not directed at you btw, I know you are American. There are however a lot of people on this forum that provide commentary and have no vested interest whatsoever other than to add to the infighting and diatribe without even understanding the realities that surround politics and the economic landscape here in America. Still others are transplants that come over here and suck up our resources, get an education from us, and live off of us, then bitch about us. That I cannot respect.
