I need your help; where can I find good graphic elements?

Hello everyone,

I've had so many disappointing experiences over the last 2 years with CRAPPY designers (no offense to the good ones), that I've decided that I'd rather just do my own crappy design. At least that way I can't be upset with anyone but myself.

Before I do any however, I need to get my hands on a set of graphic elements.

Can anyone recommend a decent quality source for graphic elements? Things like vector graphics, icon sets, buttons and badges.

I have some basic photoshop skills and licensed software, so I'm also looking for "legit" graphics, I don't pirate.

PS: 90% of what I want to do is just simple headers and logos for squeeze pages and ebook covers.

just make sure you hire somebody who has a lot of positive feedback and good reputation. check odesk and elance. stay away from hiring off IM forums. maybe even hire a local designer? If you're making good money and your IM business is active, maybe hire a full time graphic design student, it'll probably be cheaper than job-by-job.

I think you are looking for a graphic elements.There are lot's of websites you can buy vector files,icons,images etc. shutterstock is one of them.123rf is another site you can buy vector images. There are lot more othere sites similar to that.

 

Google image search is useful.
Try searching the web too,I found couple of useful things.(free)

 

Look for a product called "bad ass headlines" its got the best headlines, and its cheaper if you buy it on tradebit

 

It comes in psd format so you can easily customize them. hope you find this helpful.

 

some 15 years ago I started with affordable set of graphics from Corel (corel draw graphics) on a CD.
look at some download packages or CDs/DVDs
most are cheap/affordable and even if you can use only a few dozen or hundred elements might still be cheaper than time invested to create yourself or pay someone to9 do

backgrounds for logos - you may also consider nature photos for colors-backgrounds instead of artificially PC made bg-colors

sometimes I use simple google search for new free graphic elements

my default tool for all graphic all the years was/is Gimp (free open source) and sometimes Inkscape for vector graphics

 

If you search for free vector stock image, you'll find alot of cool design + royalty free vector images + free.
