    Helllo DP members.
I have a question if i may, and this is going out to all those SEO exprets who have done SEO work before for private clients.
I just receieved my first SEO lead to SEO this gentelman's website who is in the renovation business.
He asked me to prepare a quote for him, but i dont know how much to charge! he wants to rank for keywords such as: 't0r0nt0 home renovation',
't0r0nt0 home contactors', t0r0nt0 kitchen renovation', t0r0nt0 bathroom renovation, t0r0nt0 basement renovation - and also those above keywords without 'T0r0nt0' before them.

What should I charge him per month? i was thinking somewhere between 800 to 1000 per month?

if you were to ask me i would charge him a little more lower than that since the keyword competency is not that competitive you can easily make his site rank in the first page. 6k to 7k would be fine since your a free lance seo

Well the first thing is to ask yourself "What is my hourly rate?" then determine how many hours each month you're going to be spending on this job on average. Multiply your hourly rate by the number of hours you'll be billing each month and then use that number as your monthly maintenance fee.

For example (and I'm going to use beer here instead of money due to pricing laws in many countries prohibitng it), if you charged a bottle of beer per hour you worked, and you figured that you would be spending 8 hours per day for five days on this particlular client each month (on average) you would know that you could reasonably charge 40 bottles of beer as a monthly maintenance fee. Of course, the key would be to get those fees before the 1st of each month (pay in January for February's maintenance) so you know you're already being paid for the work you may or may not need to do.
