hi riya, i'm a strong advocate of article marketing i'm sure by writing original articles or having someone else write original articles for you and then submitting them to directories, that'll help generate traffic. have a press release written and then submitted to sites. shameless plugging: i can help you with the articles and press releases also, start a blog and a ppc campaign (for referrals etc)

I'd suggest you to spent most of these money for buying related links and I agree with 'what' - article marketing works great for me, although I am not sure what articles one can write about file hosting.. As for the reciprocal links - I'd avoid them!

Ok, first of all when you're dealing with a banner ad, it can be per click, or per exposure. The 2 are very different, and it's usually CPM (Cost Per 1000 Impressions), as opposed to PPC, where you pay for an actual click. Now. Who is your target market? Webmasters and people with *some* knowledge of the internet. Seriously, these are the people using manual surf, autosurf, and all that stuff. You can buy banner ads from these places ONLY IF YOU CAN TRACK CAMPAIGNS. If you are sending straight to the site without a tracker of some sort, you're wasting money because you won't be able to tell where the traffic came from once you start buying banner ads from multiple places. You need to try multiple sources, identify the strong ones and multiply your investment there. Tracking campaigns can be done in a quick 'n dirty fashion using redirect services like tinyurl.com, etc.. just do a search for "small url". Anyways, then you can go look in your stats (Webalizer, Awstats) to see which referrers produced how many visits. This would be a simple and efficient way of finding out several things: - Which Banner gets the moist clicks, since you will need more than one banner to get the most bang for your buck._ - Which source of banner exposures produces the most visits per $. Figure that out, and you will know where to invest your money. You follow?

Once you have generated a lot of traffic/visitors and people become aware your site is outthere, you can start with offering premium services. I believe that's how the world's top file hosting site RapidShare made it where they are now. Invest your money in referral program and price contests.
How can the news be spread fast I am planning on offering free stuff. Plus I want to hire people to upload quality stuff and post (warez sites,forums,social networks etc). So if some can tell me on what basis I should hire like for each downloads I should pay or tell then they should upload a certain amount of file and tell them where to post.......
