I have a list of 7322 websites. I need someone to go to each website and save the logo and send it to me. I need the logo named domain.com.jpg. If the format isn't .jpg, I need you to use Photoshop/Fireworks/something to convert to a jpg. I will pay you $50 to do this. If you can do something like this, I'm going to send you a batch of 10 sites to do to see how well you work. If you pass my test you will get the job. This is a very good idea, if you can have someone do it for $50 you're very lucky, I too would like to have similar jobs done for similar prices.
Hmm, let's do some math here. Assume you could do this at 30 seconds per website. That's a huge assumption, as it assume you can connect to each website quickly, find the appropriate logo image quickly, and hopefully it won't require any format conversion or cleaning up (such as if it was overlayed into the website design and not easily "grabbable". Even at this speed demon pace, you would be able to handle 120 websites per hour. That gives you a turnaround time of ~61 hours. Now say 1 in every 20 websites requires format conversions or tweaking, and instead of 30 seconds, takes 5 minutes to complete (10x normal pace). You are now looking at ~120 hours to complete. So you're offering somewhere in the ballpark of $0.40-0.80/hr for the work you require. I know data entry is a low paying trade, and I also realize that this forum has a lot of international users from third-world countries with very different pay scales from the United States, but holy crap, your budget is crap.
