I wonder if its possible to assign unmetered unshared port for a VPS. I think ofc your bandwidth will be shared among other VPS on the same server.
Yes, this will be the case. As far as I know, you cannot divvy up bandwidth like that. Is there a reason you need 100mbps?
yea , i need it for uploading purpose , if it cant be shared , i would like to know about the dedicated server plans
You can get a lower end Dedicated Server with a 100mb unmetered port at the 100$ mark, but it may be something like an Atom, unless you can find a deal.
Mate, you're lucky if you can find a server with dedicated bandwidth for $100. For $150, you can get a good dedicated server with a lot of bandwidth, well..the bandwidth part depends on where you look at.
i don't think he will get cpanel free on 100$ server, BTW servers at fdc are on shared pipes ,you can use up to15tb in a month
Yeah, that'll be a shared 100mbps port, which SHOULD allow you to push 30TB/20TB, roughly. Better off asking FDC about that specifically. And yes, all 100mb plans have cPanel, EXCEPT the atom server, which I assume is what you got : Sometimes if you email them they will give it to you for free though, they are pretty good with that sort of thing.
Just to let you know there are 3 ways your going to get an unmetered port: 1. Pay Over $150.00 a month for it and it alone (no VPS, nothing else). 2. Be placed on a very poor network in a bad datacenter. 3. Be lied to and TOLD your getting a dedicated port when you aren't. If you want a VPS that has a truly good connection and isn't going to be a fake you'll need to get the connection shared.
well according to the mail i get the cpanel and they are giving got 85$ w/o cpanel i guess its decent, but if you know anything better than this please suggest.
i guess this is the dedicated 100mbps http://fdcservers.net/Services/DedicatedServers/DedicatedBandwidthServers#s138 too costly tho and what is this INTERNAP http://fdcservers.net/Services/DedicatedServers/InternapBandwidthServers#s232
