I need to start a forum - any advice - is this domain good for it

    I have a domain colneg.com ,,, is it good for a forum.. what kind of forum should i start? any advices to a new person???

    It's a mind twister . Germanic language speakers and Latin language speaker will be unable to retain the name . You might try to target Nigeria , India and Scandinavia but don't get any hopes . The best i can figure from that domain is "college negation" . You might try a joke or hip-hop board called "college nigga" but you're gonna have a hard time whit the racism hunters .

    First think about a topic you really like because this is a major factor for success in forums.
    After you decided on a topic (more narrow is generally better then a very brought topic) then think about a domain name.

    It does not need to have any meaning at all. Take Google for example. No meaning but one of the most valued brands.
    Make your domain short and try to avoid hyphens. Also stick with a classic TLD like .com .net or if it is a local forum your local TLD.

    I think a domain name should be as descriptive as possible and yet not too long and hard to remember.
