I need to rank high for a VERY competitive keyword

    Hello,

I have almost finished my website, and I am going to try to rank on the first page of Google for a VERY competitive keyword.

I have taken care of the " On-page SEO ", so now I'm trying to focus on the "Off-page SEO ".

I looked at my competitors and saw they have around 60 000 backlinks.

    My question is:

    - What is the best way of getting so many backlinks ?

    - 60 000 manual backlinks, is practicly not possible, so what are the best alternatives ?

    - I am willing to spend a little money.

    - I am not expecting to rank high within a few months...
( My goal is within 2 years,,, preferably within 1 year...

Can anyone please give me good advice on how to get these required backlinks ?

I am looking forward to your response,

    Kind regards.

If I have 60 000 backlinks ( just as many as my competitor ).

And the right On-page SEO,,, why would I not be able to rank " almost " as good as he is ?

Can you please clarify that ?

You need to do everything better than your competition.

More/better backlinks from similar site content.
    Better content on your site.
    A growing amount of traffic.

    Etc.

Your goal is to be ahead your competitor. 60k backlinks is not enough. Within 2 years or 1 year time do you think your competitor still have that 60k backlinks? Article and directory submissions, blogging, social networkings, comments should be efficient if you do it daily. Come up with good content.

Just echoing what others have said here, but you need to be better than your competitor. Buying backlinks is probably not going to be enough. You'll need to drive a lot of traffic, exceed their backlinks (and the PR of the sites giving the backlinks needs to be better), have more content, etc.

When checking your competition you should ALWAYS expect that
your competition is active and that they are also getting more backlinks every day and so on.

If you have a 1-2 year project then try to estimate how many backlinks your competitiors
will have in that amount of time.

I won't go in to how you can get backlinks because people have already said that.

    ^Exactly. Well, not that simple.
If you'd rather get your hands dirty then there is a lot of software out there to help automate the link building process.
If you want lasting results stay away from black hat techniques. Especially if you outsource. Make sure you know what you're "SEO's" are doing.

First of all, Don't worry about the no of back-links your competitors have.
    Just focus on Relevant Back-links.

    Don't just build back-links, Build Complete Link-Wheel.
Link wheel gives instant growth in Search engine Position (BUT First you need to know best link wheel strategies, surf the internet)

I hope this will help you
    Thanks

To get those backlinks, you can take a look at the backlinks your competive sites have. If they are on for instance blogs, you can also add a comment there with your website.
And you should post a lot of times here on the forum for your signature link, haha ;)
