How much you pay for a domain on godaddy, if it is dot com I saw there that the price is 4.99 $. When the price got that low, since a domain on godaddy was 10$ last year.???

Please if you have bought, domains last year and this year - tell me, how much did you paid!!

You should check the domain renewal fee. Low fee is usually to attract new customer.

 

yeah i nearly got stung with a first year low few. do your research first

 

Some of the bigger registrars will give you a really low transfer fee, but the renewal fe will be around 10$.

ICANN charges registrars about 6$ per domain now, I believe. With almost yearly raises of 25 cents.

 

I believe I only paid 1.99 for mine, but I also purchased a website package at the same time, so the price was lower.

I did receive an email from them the other day that stated for a limited time they were offering them for 6.99.
