Web 2.0 is the best approach for getting pages indexed. Pinging and Submitting to search engines isn't of much use, you can rather do social bookmarking for your pages, then create an Rss feed of all the pages of your site and the social bookmarks using : http://vollkin.com/rss/ , finally just submit the feed to multiple rss directories. This is one of the best ways to get indexed quickly.

He has been asking a lot of SEO newbie questions. if you visit his site, he claims to have a submission service. it does not look good when he asks all these questions, and does not use his own service. I see a very giant red flag here.
When you Digg your articles, do you submit each article that you write? I assume that's how you get them within hours. Sorry, just starting out and this isn't exactly my realm!
