I need to burn this video to a dvd in 30 mins, possible?

    I need to burn this video to a dvd in 30 mins, possible?

    I have a video file, about 700mb, i need to burn it onto a dvd so i can watch it on TV using dvd player.

    Can you tell me if its possible?

    ALso how, which softwares etc..

    Not possible.

    Especially if it is like an avi or something that needs converting before the burning.

    Im not sure of any free software either for it, I use Nero 8, it works great.

    It takes a couple hours to convert, from what I remember... to get it working on a DVD player (convert from one file to another, I forgot the types).

    To burn a file thats DVD-Ready, I guess it shouldn't take more than 20 minutes at the most (depending on how fast your DVD burner is).

    3 hours on average. If you need to watch it on a tv in 30 minutes, I suggest running down to an electronics store nearby and getting yourself a divx player and a usb thumb drive. It'll come in useful a lot later as well, you can directly copy avi files to the thumb drive in a few minutes, plug the thumb drive into the divx player and voila...

    Yeah, currently i am using windows dvd maker, and its taking forver to encode....
