I need templates

    I need templates for a fairly simple site. I want the site to look good but that's not as important as easy navigation and its search engine friendliness. The site will have about ten pages in all and they can all look the same so I probably only need one template. I don’t need flash or anything “flashy”. I just need a clean if not elegant design that’s not as complicated as say the PVii sites are for me because I’m a beginner.

    There are many free templates .
    And you can also try to write html yourself.

    Many of the "free" template sites are not free (in fact, I'd say 95%). When I first started out, I used http://freesitetemplates.com/ because there were so many there that really are free. They aren't all super high-quality, but there's enough there that you may be able to find one that fits your needs. Of course, now, I "roll my own" so to speak, but the Jimworld templates worked well for me back then.
