I am planning to study programming online. I'd like to know where can I enroll and need suggestions from DP members. I'll appreciate replies.
What do you want to get out of it? If you want a qualification, dont bother with online, enrole in a respected university/ college. If you want to learn how to programme, learn the basics from the likes of W3School and then practice and practice and practice. Whilst I am not an advocate of formal education in general, option 2 will give you the ability to make fit for purpose websites/ applications that would be fine for SMEs etc. You're unlikely to get to the standard of programming at a corporate level from a purely online/ teach yourself method.
Nice suggestion. But I have learned many things online. I can set up my own server , install scripts, understood a little HTML and PHP codes, web designing just by myself in few months. I am easy to learn. I just want an online course that will teach me some basics about programming and what tools should I use to learn those. I don't like going to school, wasting my time on traffic and wasting my time attending some stupid stuff on college trying to give more subjects to get more profit.
If you like to learn programming online I will help you. We can learn basics of programming with in one month. If you wish you can PM me for the additional details.
I find that learning programming online is more difficult than books or college. However, what kind of programming are you looking for? I would suggest object oriented programming with C, C++, Java, or C#.
