There is only one way to install a theme. You upload the files to the themes folder and then activate it through the admin control panel. If the themes are messed up it could be that they are old and not compatable with your version of WP.

I have installed WP on dozens of sites. You may PM me if you would like for me to help out. Very low fee or maybe free depending upon what it turns out to be.

    Hi Guys-

Its not just installing it, I have already done that, I need to make sure it looks exactly as it shows on screen shots and looks very good and professional

To tweak the theme...it is all relative as to how far you want to go. CSS, Layout, widgets...lots of stuff involved. More direction, please.

If you are trying to change the color scheme, you will have to fool around with the CSS and know either HEX codes or numeric depending on how it is written in CSS.

no, the color and everything is great, it just doesnt look like the screen shot when I upload it to my blog. Things are overlined, out of place, the right hand margin sits all the way at the bottom, etc.

I would say adding some content may change it's appearance by filling everything in - just a guess

What is the best/easiest way to learn how to create/edit websites using WordPress? I've decided to hire a couple guys, primarily for help with my side businesses. Although I'm confident in their ability to learn quickly, neither has any website experience whatsoever. I am curious to know what some of you would recognize as a guide in relation to a "ground up" philosophy. My goal is for both of them to be able to put a basic website together from scratch, even if we need to start with a template or something along those lines. Eventually, they will each need to be managing 2 businesses by themselves. This includes blogging, writing/posting fresh content, creating/managing opt-in newsletters, sales pages - u get the idea.

    My questions here are...

    1. Should I hop on a site such as E-Lance.com and try to find someone who will do some "one on one" work with each of them until they have 'mastered' WordPress?

    2. Is there a WP video series available for view or purchase that any of you recommend for the basics/back-end/incorporation of "ad-ons/plug-ins."

    3. Any other suggestions to get this obstacle out of the way ASAP. I'm ready to put them to work - they are both very out-going and will do great once the information is organized and presented in a decent fashion...

Thanks everyone - looking forward to hearing from you!

    Rob

If wanted to show like it screenshot (the theme). I think the theme maker already list readme.txt or custom backend panel for that theme.
