I need someone to help me transfer my SMF board to phpBB.

    I have 1700 + members, I gave SMF a try and I hate it.
    I know there are converters out there but I have no idea what I am doing when it come to attempting something like this.

    Would anyone like to help me out?

    Believe me, you are the only person to hate SMF. It's far far better than phpBB IMO.

    if your having problems with SMF, maybe post them here and we can help you figure it out. SMF is by far the better forum software.

    I'm not having any problems, I just don't like SMF.
    I still need help if any wants to help me with the transfer.

    A question come to mind;
    What all gets transferred?
    Threads?
    Posts?
    Post count?

    I have seen people tranferring SMF to others, yes, all what you want gets tranferred.

    I think you'd better look at phpbb and phpbbhacks. The 2 sites have some articles about how to transfer the SMF forum to phpBB

    As for the "Believe me, you are the only person to hate SMF. It's far far better than phpBB IMO" comment: there are many people to dislike SMF. But some of us were 1 step ahead and never used it :D .. don't want to turn this into a script bashing ... So .. just try to see for some converters or something like that ...
