I need some help. My parents use AOL. Thats enough of a reason to want help.. right? Well no, it comes worse than that. They use AOL for mac. AOL, if I remember correctly uses the (discontinued for mac) IE shell. You can imagine how bad the AOL browser is for mac. So yesterday I bought my parents a new computer, they were using a g3 notebook.. and I just couldn't stand it. I'm using the 20" imac upgraded, but I bought them the basic 17" imac. My mom took a liking to it whereas my dad does nothing but bitch at the fact that I gave them one condition: No AOHELL gets installed on it. In fact this morning I was woken by my dad grabbing my other notebook (which still has AOL). So what can I do? Safari, or even FireFox is 100x the browser AOL can be, but my he likes the fact that it has the whole mail and IM thing installed on it. So , for the IM's we have iChat, but for mail ? And does anyone know if its possible to export a whole favorites list from AOL? I'll probably get FF & Thunderbird for mail, but anyone have an idea for the favorites?
