I bought a CGI proxy and I'm getting a 403 error code saying it doesn't have permission to access the page. I need someone to help me fix this, I won't pay much but it will probably only take a few minutes. Just post your AIM/MSN/Yahoo here if you want to help me real quick and are good with proxies.
You need to change the chmod of the page you are trying to access. Change it to 666 and it should work.
Yeah, I tried that and it doesn't work www.mrsneakie.com/nph-proxy.cgi CGI scripts are also enabled on my server, so it's not that either.
It looks to me that it have nothing to do with chmod but with access to that file. 403 forbidden means that you don't have permission to access or with other words that there is something on the server that block access to that file. .htaccess, blocking from server side or something else i do not know. Try to install some another simple cgi script to see of you will receive same error. If you receive again 403 forbidden contact your hosting. btw I try to visit your main site but receive again 403 error. It looks as some problem from your side.
Well I know the guy that owns the servers, and CGI scripts are enabled, so it can't be that. PHProxy works fine on it though, so I don't know what could be wrong. I tried deleting the old .htacess file also and that still didn't work.
Your server is mosy likely being overloaded with the huge stress CGI PRoxy takes up. The same thing is happening with my proxy, www.proxbypass.com. I'm switching back to PHProxy when I get home.
Yeah...it's just that when I switched to PHProxy, it totally messed the template up and I couldn't really get it to how it was with the CGI..and I paid $50 for the custom template pretty much, not the domain and script.
