Hello DP'ers, I'm almost a Noob to Creating a website using Html and hosting it. I have a couple of wordpress Blogs. But now, i need a Simple Html Website. I have the template which I'd like to use. All i need is to develop a single Page website using the Template which i have. Secondly, I do not know how to Host a Html website. Wordpress was pretty simple. But, I have no idea of how i must go ahead in Html. Please Help me. Thanks.

serach for and install a "WYSIWYG" html editor, open the template with the program. then edit as you want, you will find its really easy. Then you will need to upload the site, using either ftp or your web control panel.
Which folder do i need to upload the files in? Somehow, I did manage to complete the first part. But Finding some problems in the 2nd part. There are 2 folders and 2 files in the template i downloaded. 1)HTML-CSS 2)PSD files 3).DS_Store 4)Thumbs.db In HTML_CSS, there is 1 folder and 2 files. 1)index_files 2).DS_store 3)index.html( The edited page) Which files do i have to upload on My server and to which directory? you have to upload the index.html and the index_files folder, now which directory to upload may be a bit tricky, since it can change from host to host. Which directories are there on your server? It is usually www or httpdocs or just the root directory. But that could change.
