Is there really any "trick": to it? I dont have time to read 100's of pages of e-books.

I am in the health niche and it's a beauty product. How do I begin, any expert recommendations?

    Thanks!

The best "trick" to it, is experience. The more you do it, the better you get at it. Though; you should at least have a decent knowledge on it. So I would recommend reading up on it.

The best thing you can do is read all the tutorials that google provide on adwords - http://www.google.com/adwords/learningcenter/text/index.html

In general terms, the thing to keep in the front of your mind is that Google want to serve up relevant results - in the sponsored links as well as the organic search, so keep your ad text, landing page and keywords all relevant to each other, and you'll be working with google, not against them.

You can test the waters yourself, or invest in some keyword software.

Magda is exactly right. If you don't do this you could easily be paying $5 - $10 instead of a quarter or less. I already made that mistake;)

    Good luck

My advise is to start off slow untill you learn the ropes. Keep you keywords relvent to your ad and landing page. Don't clump all your keywords into one group. Listen to some of the stuff mind valley labs tells about google adwords is also very helpful.

Put yourselves in the shoes of someone searching for beauty products. What emotions are they experiencing? What problems are they facing?

Address those problems, and hit their emotional hot buttons (eg: you're ugly; ts not your fault, but we can help. - but in a subtle way of course)

And if you don't read up about it, you'll end up suffering, especially if you are venturing into PPC. Take time to get educated, and you'll thank yourself for it later on.

unfortunately the best trick is having someone experienced do all the work, otherwise you have to go through all the learning curves everyone else goes through.

There is no one special magical trick...

and eBook will not help you at all.. they will only make you more confused

no trick .. you can't just pass high school with a simple trick when you don't even know how to read and write. It's a learning process which everybody should go through..Or hire someone who knows the things.
