Hey everyone, I'm 17 years old, still in school, jobless, and in need of a good sized chunk of cash by the end of March. I've had a trip to Japan planned for a year, and I'm going to need $3,500.00 before the end of March or I won't be able to go. I'm pretty new to the world of making money online and I don't really know what to do; I've tried so many things over the past six months and nothing really seems to work for me. I've probably earned only $50.00 or so the whole time and I'm kind of lost as to how to start getting some money here. If anybody has some really good, unique suggestions here I'd very much appreciate it. Right now I only have like $13.00 in my PayPal account so if you need payment for your methods I don't have very much...the only other thing I can really offer is a percentage of my income in exchange for coaching or something. And of course, if you have some long term work for me that would be great too...I think I'll need about $25.00 per day in order to make the trip happen. So if anybody could help me in any way possible that would be great. I'm not asking to be spoon-fed here, I just need a little help getting started. Thanks guys, cheers.
To get you started you could offer article writing as obviously you can properly write English and for about 2500 words you could get your $25 per day. Everything takes time. Try and learn coding and offer a psd to html service. Is there something your good at?
Article writing...is that where you just write up a few paragraphs on a certain topic? I could probably do that. As for something I'm good at, I have about a year and a half of professional training in Photoshop and photography and about 3 years experience total in the former.
Then you could offer website design or logo design or header design, etc. In regards to article writing, thats pretty much it. For example a client may pay you 1-2c per word and articles may be 100-500 words on a topic such as for example New York attractions or The History of Ferrari or Flat Screen TVs and many clients order bulk or came back frequently, it's just finding the right clients and offering them quality in return for higher rates and when you get more clients you can outsource as well.
I mean.. No offense but I reckon you could achieve this goal by working part-time at McDonalds or something. Making that amount right off the bat from day 1 with little experience whatsoever is quite hard especially when you're still in school. If you're still serious about it, I would suggest you go do some freelancing. Article writing is good but the pay is quite crap since you're competing with hundreds of people who write for $0.01 a word. Try to establish yourself as a quality writer and post a lot in the Copywriting section, you will get a couple clients there no doubt. Since you can do design, you can sell logos or themes (Wordpress ones are nice), bonus marks if you can code. When you have a bigger budget, you could try and flip domains and sites, there is obviously risk involved but I've been doing quite well doing this myself. This goes really nicely with article writing and design, by having quality unique content and a custom template, sites can go for a couple hundred dollars a pop. Anyway, good luck with your ventures, I'm planning a trip to Japan myself If you need any help, let me know; I may need your services soon too. Oh and one thing, don't spend your money on paid eBooks and all that junk promising you $1k a day, trust me
Yeah, I had a job for about nine months but I had to quit it because I just have too much schoolwork to be able to have a real life job. If it was possible to get a job from like 7pm-11pm without my parents caring I'd absolutely do that, but because I don't have access to that I have to do this online. Luckily I got a job with some guy yesterday selling hosting space, so hopefully that should go over well. We'll just have to see...but he gave me free hosting and a free domain too so that should help out with Adsense some as I have 10,000 articles to throw on the blog I installed on it. As for site flipping, I can't say I'd really know what I was doing if I tried that...are there any free guides lying around? Also, how much would I need to invest? Thanks a lot for your tips by the way, they're very helpful. =) I'll contact you if I have any more questions. And will do haha, you may have just saved me some cash there.
If you are good at designing logos I would definitely recommend you visit the contest section. I see people making a couple hundred a day just by entering the contests. If your work is good enough you can not only do that but offer maybe 3 for free in the design area. This will give you feedback and exposure. Post samples of your designs, and even create a portfolio for yourself. Personally I wish I was able to to logos and banners because if you find the right people to buy from you then that $25.00 a day can turn into 100 or even more. Good luck!
