I need some council on moving a blog to a domain name

Okay . . here is my situation.

It's a recent blog and finally starting to grow a little bit. I know how it's good to own your own domain, and how one looks more professional with one.

The thing is that I'm finally going up in the SERPs and I know that moving everything litterally means starting over.

    Should I do it?
Also should I keep Blogger or move to Wordpress. (I think I know what I'll here).

But about the domain name. I'm having a difficult time finding an available .com domain name.

I want to change Tech Guru into something and I'm not scared about renaming it, but it seems that's difficutl to find available ones at this time.

    Any tips?

Just do it. And fast. I learned the hard way. Yes, you'll start from scratch, but it's better than just losing the site with no explanation like I did.

I suggest WP, because I dig all the plugins (that's also why I use Firefox, not Opera).

The domain name thing is regrettable, but I'm sure you'll find a tolerable one.

I need help with coming up with a domain name.

Man. I have tried everything. . .looking at latin, italian words. I need it to sound sort of techy but not geeky.

Nothing is available and I want a .com domain.

Can anyone help me find one or give me some strategies?

Do you need it to be a "type-in" name (keyword-oriented), or are you willing to do some brand building (eg: Google, Yahoo, Squidoo, Ebay)?

Branding I want branding. All they keyword.com are really gone right now.

    So I want to brand.

Ive tried all these words but no luck: either they are all taken or sound really bad.

    Can anyone help?
