Ok, I'm done with my homepage, but I want to get some feedback before I start making all the links active.

I want to base the rest of my pages on this design, but I would like to know what you thought of it first. Are the colors ok? Does it look too cluttered? I don't know cause I've been looking at it too long. :)

Please don't be too brutal ;)

Is your homepage one of the links in your sig or did you forget to post the link?

I took a quick look and this is my quick feedback :D

My eyes cannot find a focal spot to begin exploring your site. I am immediately drawn to the left column but lose my flow after the adsense ad. I am guessing that you probably want to draw attention to the center column where your write-up is so there needs to be something there to draw the eyes. Maybe of you stick the picture on the right and use a fancy, colorful and big first alphabet to begin your paragraph (kinda like what magazines do).

The other thing is that I have my browser (Firefox) spread wider than your page and this makes your page sit on the upper left corner with a whole lot of white space bordering the right and bottom sides. Centering the whole page will give some form of balance and would make the presentation look nicer.

My last comment is to get you to space things out just a wee bit. It looks a bit cramped right now.

    Hope that helps :)

Awesome izahan. I was actually wondering what it looked like with a bigger screen so thanks for letting me know. I have no idea how to center it though.

I was also thinking the same thing about spacing everything out, I just haven't had a chance yet but I'll work on all your suggestions tonight.

    Thanks a bunch. It's really appreciated. :)

You know what, i have no idea how to center it either! :D

The only reason that it is centered on my blogs is because I am using templates. I am thinking hat CSS would make your life easier but I have no clue where to start - I can tweak a template well enough but can't build one from scratch...

I hope someone else drops by this thread and gives us some pointers.

I like the concept of your site though I find it crowded and its hard to get focus on where I will start reading. There still spaces on both side that you might want to adjust. Good luck...

Well, now I'm not sure what I should do. I did center it, but my resolution is 800x600 and most of my readers are 1024x768. When I designed my site, I designed it for my own resolution, because I know how annoying it is to scroll side to side. I absolutely hate that!

But then, I didn't know what was happening to the space on the sides for people with high res screens. I could change my res but then everything is so small that I can't see what the heck I'm doing.

Oh well, I'll figure it out eventually.

try to keep chitika to either the top right or top left. having both at top left and top right will created image blindness.
