I Need Some Advice

Ok I purchased this website popolicious.co.uk which is a strong PR5 and has been up for years. I changed the title from popolicious to Street Rods, Hot Rods. Since doing that I have been getting lots of strong ranked links to the site using the new anchor text Street Rods.

To my dissappointment it has been 3 whole weeks and the site is not even indexed in that term in the first 50 pages of results. It has indexed 3 times since buying it, but its not showing up!

Can anyone explain why it might be doing this? My client is getting mad at me :(

I did this doing a major overhaul of a PR4 site I owned...it fell off the face of the earth and took two PR updates for it to come back. (Know stronger than before).

I was told that changing the title would produce this effect even if nothing else was changed. (site is a few years old also).

Not suggesting this will happen in this case, just wanting you to be prepared if it does.

Keep building those links and good luck!

    Hi ,
I havent been at the SEO game long but patience is certainly a virtue.
Ive had the problem with clients not understanding but tell them that because the technology used to rank/index etc is an automated one that needs to index not millions but billions of sites that it can take time to be indexed/achieve nice SERP's...

But to tell them , that with my experience that when they are indexed ,we'll do our best to keep them there...

    Best of Luck!

Your site is up in Google, maybe you are waiting for your site to be ranked. :)

Hi, you may find my following advice useful:

    1. Log into our Google Webmaster account and see what are the main anchor words linking to your site. Try to attract more of your targeted words.

    2. I notice that you do not have META keywords / description. Try to include your keywords into these tags. They do help :)

    3. Bold your targeted keywords in your blog.

    4. Continue to link bait.

    5. Give it another week to see the results after the bots revisit your site.

    Good luck!
