anyone one willing to help me, cause i am a new webmaster in this adsense revenue, well little about my site is that, its a news publishing websites, which is not based on any niche or any MFA site, all my contents are unique accept that world news is from Associated press, which i have a license to published photos and story but the rest such as local story are all unique which are all written by our reporters and has nothing to do with duplicate content.
now my point is i tried many keywords for better CTR but doesn't give much earning on adsense say about 3$ a day, UV of about 1000 per day, permanent member about 50 a day, so what do i use a keyword for such a site, because when i used those adsense keywords, on comparison to my content and the ad, it doesn't match at all so that doesn't make any point or get the benefit of putting ad on my site, rite, i mean the content of the news and the ad should be relevant so if anyone wants to give a piece of good advice than i am willing to accept it, either private message or openly.

news publishing sites have many different type of news and its not easy to get specific type of ads you need for better CTR. if you have any regular section with certain types of keyword that you are targeting, then you can try section targetting which will give you the kind of ads you need. give section targeting a try

If you have reporters at hand that write unique content, try a weekly theme based approach, where you can focus on a topic every week and have an article written on the topic. that way, you are certain to pull the google ads related to the keywords you choose. In addition, if you keep these articles relevant to one another, and link them to one another, you will have a silo of pages that talk about that topic which will help you in SERPs and boost your traffic.

Another tactic I have seen news sites employ is to have photo stories, where they have a slide show of interesting news pictures on a topic and place a keyword rich paragraph to describe the story behind the image and place google ads on the page.

Either way, it takes a whole lot of trial and error to find out the sweet spot that works best for your site.

3hundred, you're right, that system works well. My wife has a local news site, and every news story that she publishes is on a specific theme. She's also an Adsense publisher, and does pretty well at it. She writes more than a paragraph though, she writes maybe 250 words about each story, complete with maybe three or 4 photographs.
