    Hi Guys,

I have done alot of blogging previously on blogger but I realized that it is not so profitable even if you perform your best. I have decided to buy a domain, hosting and then will install wordpress blog on that domain.

I never bought a domain myself, that was the reason I started with blogger as I thought buying a domain and all that stuff is pretty difficult. Finally, I have decided to start a wordpress blog.

I need to know about where to buy a domain, hosting and how much approximately it will cost.

I need serious help regarding how to install wordpress, how to install wordpress considering SEO point of view. what are wordpress plugins.

I am an SEO consultant but I have never tested wordpress and Now I want to make my own blog at wordpress and am willing to write unique and quality content.

    Please help! :)

Well Angelus, I do know how much the domain and hosting costs. But I was like trying to get feedback from DP members about which host they like and how much that costs to them.

But I am more interested in knowing about the other wordpress question.

    Thanks for replying.

Sounded like you didn't know prices :)

Search around a little bit, there was a thread about WP plugins here at DP.

About wp options, you can define permalinks the way that you want, in is located under options tab I think (I'm too lazy to open wordpress right now to check it :) )

For plugins, you will need to upload the plugins into your wordpress "plugin" folder. Similarly, upload the themes into your wordpress "themes" folder.

Access into your Wordpress Dashboard (image a control panel for your blog) and activate the plugins from the "Plugins" menu and similarly, choose the theme you desire from the "Presentation" menu.

I would recomend Bluehost.com. Cheap, reliable hosting for a good price, plus a free domain. Plus they have fantastico and will set it up automatically. After that check out http://codex.wordpress.org/Plugins for plugins.

I think I have to first buy a domain and hosting, as I everytime think alot and then I give-up. Is it better to buy a domain from go-daddy and hosting from somewhere else?. How to connect hosting and domain? I mean settings. I want to pay from paypal account. Then will talk about installation of wp. Let's suppose I want to change my hosting after some months then what do you think, it will effect from SEO point of view?

    Where are you from?
I'd recommend you buy domains from www.namecheap.com
    and http://www.hostgator.com for hosting.
It seems that you have many questions, why not learn them yourself first?
    check out this: http://wordpress.org

Just set up DNS servers for your new domain at your domain registair. The servers will be provided to you by your hosting company.

I hope Google would be my best friend because Wordpress is my .... :)

It means I have to spend $7.2 for domain registration and if we add hosting so its around $100 per year.

Do you have any ideas for which domain to register, I am willing to start a wordpress blog for helping other on the topics I mentioned above as well as I want to earn atleast around 400-500$ a month.

I hope to hear from you people.

GAdsense. There's no need to buy a domain and crap. Just use blogger for now.

I would not buy a domain and stuff. It can be a real waste of time....

use blogspot first is my only advice

Wordpress is no real advantage, just more themes and plugins and crap. There's some people who use blogger and get 10000 uniques per week + more.

How much traffic does your blog get and what'st the link to it ?

I havn't done any kind of real marketing and good SEO so I don't expect much traffic from my blogger blog although I got more than 100 uniques a day.

But Wordpress is wordpress, how many people agree with me that from wordpress you can get a high Page rank soon, from wordpress you can get good traffic and its very customizable, Its your own blog not a service. Blogger can be closed or it can be temporarily unavailable so its risky.

    What do you say?
