I need SEO friendly URLs.

Hi,

At this site I would like to convert this kind of URLs: http://www.saladosprofessores.com/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=62&topic=18588.0
In this: http://www.saladosprofessores.com/peticao-reducao-de-alunos-por-turma

There's a script that claims to do that, but I installed it and it does not do that. :-(

Could someone please help me here?

Sorry! I explained this wrong.

The URLs inside Joomla are working fine.
The problem it's on the SMF forum inside the Joomla site.

 

You can use sh404sef for this purpose. If you configure it properly, it can do the job you want.

 

In joomla 2.5 you can make the URL to become SEF very very easy, just make a menu to your link, and set the "alias" as you want.

 

Setting menu is not a good idea... If you have hundreds of links, you can't set hundreds of menus... I mean you can create hundreds of menus but that isn't a practical solution...

 

Yes sure if there is hundreds of links.. I mean just for some links only

For general routing, you can create your own joomla router to handle sef link and read it.

 

I also searching for plugin or extension for Joomla though which I can rewrite my complicated urls to simple seo friendly url.
plsease suggest it anyone have any idea about this type of any plugin or extension.

 

enable SEF url in Global configuration. it works perfectly if you have mod_rewrite enabled in php

 

I'm trying import custom url redirects to sh404SEF. what will be the format and how i should prepare it?
