Hey I am thinking of adding some Amazon affiliate products into my blog, But i am pretty sure the theme is not suitable and i don't think there is anywhere to display the products. I don't think that Amazon is a good choice for advertising on your blog. You have to think like your visitors - they are coming to read information on bloggin and seo. They are simply not thinking about buying. You would be better either promoting an SEO service (like seomoz.org or seobook.com) or trying to get email addresses by offering something (a free SEO eBook) - then you can promote to the emails over time, after you have earned their trust.
I think there is large space at your blog... what you mean that there is not enough space? you can put it at sidebar (with some modification at you themes) or you use product review instead
