I have a website that's running on Wordpress. I want a Wordpress blog built on it (example: www.mysite.com/blog).

Anyone knows how to do it? Please post your offers here and tell me why you're the best person I should hire to do the job.

    Post away! :)

You will probably get a better response if you write a list of things you want the site to do and / or examples of similar sites.

Otherwise people will not know where to start.

For example my team builds sites from $500 - $50K

The better the specification the cheaper things will be overall.

    Good luck

Yeah Just realised what you were talking about. If you have Spanel fantasico then just specify the /blog/ path or upload the WP install files to the /blog directory and run it from there.

The site is already running on Wordpress which was set up using Fantastico. Can I install another WP blog (or site, if I may call it) on the same domain?

Yes you can do it easily by manually uploading WP files and running the installer, its very easy! And you don't need to use Fantastico for this.

If your site is running on Wordpress, it is already a blog. Are you using some kind of theme that disallows that?
You don't need 2 installations of wordpress.

If you just want to run 2 seperate installations, just put it on a folder, however, if you are going to be expanding and possibly making more blogs, you may want to check into using Wordpress MU, so that you can run multiple blogs from the same installation.

Also, when Wordpress 3.0 comes out, which is scheduled for sometime in the next month, it will combine the functions of MU and Single user WP making your double installation obsolete real soon.
It may be worth waiting (if you can) for the new version so that you don't have to go back in 30 days and re do the whole thing.

You can read more here and test out a beta of 3.0 http://wordpress.org/development/2010/04/wordpress-3-0-beta-1/

The blog posts on my current site (which is running, as I said, on Wordpress) are entered as pages at the moment. I want them to be entered as blog posts, not as pages of the WP site that I have right now.

I know only how to install Wordpress on a domain using Fantastico. Can you point me to some free online tutorials on how to make a double installation of Wordpress on a single domain using Fantastico?

Currently, "blog posts" on my business website appear as follows:

    www.mywebsite.com/blogpost1
    www.mywebsite.com/blogpost2

I would like them to appear like this:

    www.mywebsite.com/blog/blogpost1
    www.mywebsite.com/blog/blogpost2

Hope I have explained everything clearly. Thanks for your help, fellas!

Create the folder when installing with Fantastico - the folder should not already exist. See the directions right underneath Install In Directory

As long as you don't try to install it in a folder that already has Fantastico you are okay - sub-folders/directories are okay.

After you've created the blog go to Settings/Permalinks and in the Custom field use: %postname%

    So step by step
    1. login to cpanel
    2. go to fantastico
    3. wordpress install
    4. Define /blog as the install path
    5. Fantasico WP install
    6. Login to domain/blog/wp-admin/
    7. Change permalink structure

    Done

If you want to migrate content from olf blog to new just tools > export from old and import into new
