All of the twitter api services that I have used have severely limited my potential. Finally, I found three php scripts that I run independantly that have supercharged my account. I run them on cron jobs and mass unfollow all day Saturday, mass follow using a targeted keyword on Sunday, let them soak all week while my third cron job tweets to them. Additionally, I manually tweet to keep things interesting. There is the thought floating out there that Twitter users are mindless drones clicking on anything. It is true that there are an endless supply of accounts being run by bots, but for those that actually have people behind them, they will click on something only if it is interesting and informative. This I have personally found to be the case.
