Hi all, I have this website: www.travitaly.com - It has a good domain name - It has 4 monetization processes: Google Adsense, Amazon, ClickBank and Commission Junction. - I have bought traffic and it has real visitors AND.... Still it doesn't make any money and I don't know what the problem is. I need your advise. Thank you
The problem might be that you bought "traffic", hence your traffic was probably fake. Forget about "buying traffic". Try advertising your website on related websites.
I bought pop-under traffic. The thing is Google Analytics shows that people have really visited my website also Google Adsense, CJ ... show that I have had impressions no clicks and no selling and I don't know why.
It takes time to convert visitors into profit. It's a numbers game: you'll need at least a few dozen visitors to get a few clicks, and then maybe a hundred plus clicks (for affiliate products, not counting Adsense) before a sale is made and you earn your commission.
I got more than 3000 visitors till now. For Adsense, No clicks at all. I double checked the setting for my adsense and it shows impressions correctly. For CJ I had some clicks but no selling. For ClickBank it doesn't show track of clicks or I don't know how to track. For Amazon I had only two clicks. I think those 2 clicks were myself testing the work! Lol
Buying traffic is not the best option, because the traffic is not targeted.Setup a blog and start writing articles about your industry and link from the blog to the travitaly-site. A tip: Make your site look more like a resource with useful and helpful information, less like a site that is there just to collect adsense clicks.
Bought traffic bought you real visitors but they just visit your website because they get paid. I don't think this technique was ever good and will be ever good. This might be danger for your adsense if they find you buying traffic. So, just move up for backlinks from related websites and do some SEO and adwords campaign.
Far too many ads for my liking. Aim for 95% useful content, and 5% ads. I bet your bounce rate is over 90%? People click, come to the site, see all the ads and leave.
How long have your site been online? Its need some time before you make a sales Your ads position is not optimize And you should put more content into your site
I think your site lacks of market. You need to market your site by having some advertisement. Also try to have some promo or offer to the surfers that might catch their attention.
Website promotion appears to be a simple process but to get good results is difficult. It appears to be a mechanical/technical process but instead it is more similar to advertising.Anyone can teach you the mechanics but to be good and increase traffic requires much more. It requires careful insight into your audience and precise selection and use of words. If there is one secret to increase traffic and get more visitors and customers to your website this is it.
Avoid buying traffic. Aim for natural visitors, and offer quality and informative content. If you do they'll be more likely to stick around for a while or come back. Also, I agree with squadron, too many ads. Your content should come first.
Well, you will need to get real visitors who are genuinely interested with the content that you have on your website. Think like what the people in your targeted demographic do and you will have a better chance to start making money with your website. I suggest you to try writing articles and submitting them to a few article directories. Well, you can also write a press release if you know how to and get the exposure that your website need. Good luck.
Buying traffic is not all bad if you buy from the right source. But as others stated, the more targeted your traffic is the more sales you will have. Sometimes buying traffic targeted for what you are selling is not possible.
Thank you all for useful comments. I think I should enrich my content. Also that is a good idea to decrease the amount of advertising in my website. Who knows? Maybe I can make more money then. Writing in blogs was a good idea. Also special promotions. Anyway, this website is a starting point for me in this path and I have a lot to learn. I bought 5000 Pop-under traffics for US people + travel category and I expected it to get even at least but it seems it didn't work. I guess for travel category as general forums and blogs may work better.
What you need is quality traffic. Try adding more back links to your site. This needs time to get a steady flow of quality visitors to your site.
My suggestion is do concentrate in Off Page Optimize and get more and more back links for your site it's better way for you.
In my humble opinion: #1 I'm so sorry to say that... it's really a bit ugly . The first thing you may need to do is to redesign your site. Look at the titles in the left sidebar, no padding from the edge, they make my eyes uncomfortable. The left image also doesn't blend in well. Improper blank space makes the page look like contentless. On the other hand, you are using internal style sheet. That's OK, but... ! #2 Well... where is your content? I see lots of digg.com links in the main frame, while internal links are desperately lying in the sidebar. Does that mean you are happy to see visitors off ? I suggest to change their positions. And also you need even more content, which is original. #3 Your site has nothing to do with SEO, no meta tags in the head part. you may need to know some basic SEO knowledge. Check this site out: http://www.seobook.com/ #4 Who are you? Why should I trust you? I'm trying very hard but still can't find pages like "about us", "terms of service", "feedback", etc. Although you're not asking me for money, but is information on your site trustworthy? Dunno . #5 Promotion is a long journal. There are quite a lot of ways to do that, e.g. forums, blog, articles, comments, social bookmarkings, blah blah blah... Here are some forums talking of travelling, might be helpful: http://www.lonelyplanet.com/thorntree/ http://forum.virtualtourist.com/ http://www.travelblog.org/Forum/ http://www.travellerspoint.com/forum.cfm http://www.aardvarktravel.net/chat/ http://www.fodors.com/forums/ #6 Be patient! This is also saying to myself. Search "economic crisis" in google, nearly 30 million results! Everybody's looking for bargains. The tourist market is shrinking seriously. At least I'm not going to make a trip in the near future. Leo
you have to get targeted trafic and that will come by advertising in the correct places and tracking your advertsing to see what works and what doesn't you got to learn the basics of advertising and marketing first
Wow! That was quite frank and a lot informatic. I really liked it. Thanks for the information. It was really useful for me.
