Hello all I am planing to create a (coumputer tutorials and courses) site on word press which will include text, images and veiods courses and tutorials. All courses will be free for visitors I am planing to generate revenue from CPM, CPC advertising, Affiliate marketing, subcribtion etc. So what tools and components I need for this type of site to get started ? like framework, theme, plugins, widgets, tools, scripts... for seo, security, design, flexibility etc... My basic need for site are: Should be SEO friendly Should be able to support all devices and browsers mobile, tablet, pc../Chrome, Mozilla etc... Should be user friendly (easy navigation) Should be secured from copy paster, hackers, spammers etc.. There are so many tools and Apps for wordpress but i what to know which will work best for my site please let me know If I am missing anything.
I do not recommend installing useless security plugins. They just slown your site down. Nobody cares about hacking your site.
Search in the google something like this, "wordpress tutorials theme" i hope you will find a good theme absolutely free, which will be good looking, with user friendly navigation, then install a few plugins like all in one seo to make your site seo friendly... I dont think you need too many widgets or plugins to be installed in your wordpress site...
I would go for any "news-magazine" wp theme. If you want your theme to be able to support all devices and browsers then search for "responsive" themes.
first you need to find a free/premium theme which is close to your theme requirement. as far Security is concerned a good host will take care of it. plus some 2-3 security plugins will do the job.
First of all you need a "Responsive Theme" which can support all devices and browsers mobile, tablet, pc../Chrome, Mozilla etc... If you planning for a site which shares tutorials through articles only you can search (google) and go for any good responsive theme. If its something different you must be requiring custom wordpress development.
You must use essential plugins.......such as All in SEO, Bulletproof Security, CommentLuv, cbnet Ping Optimizer, Contact Form 7, Digg Digg, Google XML Sitemaps,Twitter @Anywhere Plus.
alot of hackers live only to hack our websites dear , and they are so famous have a look on those , see how many blogs do they hack daily https://www.facebook.com/BDCyberArmy
Nobody cares about any blogs unless they are really popular. Besides, WP is very secured itself (without buggy/backdoor "security" plugins installed by BFU).
my blog was hacked while i was still customising it looool wordpress is not that secured and it needs a security plugin
I do not agree. On wordpress.com there are lots of blogs running WP (obviously) and I do not know about any case of a hacked blog. That's because they do not allow installing plugins that are not maintained by WP staff, so users are protected from bad/lazy programmers who (unintentionally) open the door for hackers.
