Anyone have any tips? I started this the beginning of July. I have 1 campaign performing amazing, it was VERY FEW keywords in it. I can't seem to get much if anything from any other campaigns. I figured it's a probably with my keywords or ads. Does anyone have any tips of creating good long tail keywords? Or any help at all would be appreciated, I'm not expecting to be hand fed, but need a starting point to go over everything again
It depends on what your business is. If you are selling things, particularly technology, then create a list of all of your products, and base your initial list on variations of those. If you offer a service, you're a lot more limited in your keywords - all you can do is create a list of different words for what you do. Here's a guide I wrote about creating keyword lists: http://www.epiphanysolutions.co.uk/...adwords-campaign/generating-lists-of-keywords
Yeah, here's two. Go to websites of your competitors and see if they have included keywords in their META tags. Next, use Google Keyword Tool to extract keywords from their landing pages. Just enter the landing page URL after you click the Site-Related Keywords.
If you have a website that's already getting some traffic from other sources, hittail is a free tool that gives you your long tails in an easy to digest manner. http://www.hittail.com/
The keywords you used may not get any traffic, maybe you should add some more or you could take another approach like site-targetted ads, image ads, etc.
Unfortunately what i'm looking for is keywords for services mostly But I remember reading your guide a while ago and found it helpful!
Here is some crazy advice to find longtail keywords... Get someone from elance or rentacoder to write you a script that creates links for adwords that will tell you the exact phrase an individual typed in to trigger your ad. Someone has to be able to do that and you can;t get better longtail keywords than that...real time data.
