I have spent some money on facebook advertising for my web design business without much success and would like some help with the advertising. I would like help with the pictures and words and especially the targeting. I would also like help with the content on my website to increase my conversion rate. I would pay a little bit at first and then more if I get results.

Facebook ads are all about targeting your audience properly. The first thing you should define who is your potential customer or you'll be wasting your advertising budget. Once you define your target try with different ads and see which one is converting better, don't worry about the clicks; it is better to pay for an ad with 5 clicks and 2 sales than for one with 35 clicks and zero sales...

There are hundreds of great resources to learn how to use facebook ads properly, Google it ;)

My experience with Facebook is that it is not very good at all for B2B sales, which is what you are doing in selling web design services to businesses. In fact, I tried a couple of B2C products and they did not sell well, either. My experience has been that people go to FB to play and not to buy. I am sure others will disagree, but my point is that you may wan to consider other venues in addition to just focusing on optimizing your FB ads. Have you considered linkedin ads or perhaps a PPC campaign with Google or Bing?

Bing Ads for sure. You will get maybe half of the traffic you'd get from AdWords, but you won't have to pay an arm and a leg when the billing cycle comes around.

One thing: Make sure you select Bing and Yahoo search engines only while setting up your campaign. DO NOT select the Bing, Yahoo and syndicated partners option.
