I need help understanding SEO

Hi everyone,

I have just opened my first website.

I know that I have taken a very big risk by doing this since I have no experience at all.

I do not know much about SEO.

All I have learnt is that it is needed if I want my website to be listed in search results.

My question here is, How do I do this?

I need detailed help.

I am using Kompozer to upload my files as well as make my site.

I need all the help I can get.

The website is based on gambling.

There are some videos on youtube that you can watch that can explain SEO to you.

you can go with SEO Guide , search on Google "SEO guide" and you will find a lot of stuff related to SEO.

 

To understanding the concept of SEO is good. But, you must have to contact Professional SEO company to promote your website. First of all you will have ti index your website, and then will promote.

Try to keep targeted keyword in your website content and using the keyword density rules for targeted keywords.If you want to search engine listed to your site and get ranking well in google then you should follow some following rules:

Submit your site in google search engine.

Start directory submission, deep linking, social book marking, article submission and etc.

And you can find some seo guideline book like : seo made easy.

 

if you don't have any seo knowledge then it will be a big task for you just go with a expert seo

 

Start on keyword research so that you'll know what keywords are your going to use and how competitive your keywords are. Then start doing On-Page Optimization (25%) then Off-Page Optimization (75%).

 

Try to learn from good SEO books.

 

gambling and poker related sites have separate way of promotion which mostly is black hat and thus its important to understand purpose your website serves

next thing, Google webmaster guidelines are Google centric (of course that's the ball game) but there are yahoo and msn as well (on much lower scale as compared to Google)

if you want to make money, don't ask for help because if people knew how to mine money, they have no time to discuss and share their methodology for FREE..

that also doesn't mean you shouldn't ask for help.. just make your question more specific to an area.
