I need help promoting our new website....

    It is basically an article directory that doesn't allow duplicate content. On the other hand we allocate 80% adsense impressions to the authors on their content. The website allows backlinks from the body of the article as these backlinks have higher value. One needs to write 300 word, quality article.

    Isn't it a good business model? How can I spread the word around?

    promoting an article directory that DOESN'T allow duplicate content is a hard push. when people submit an unique article, they submit it to a directory that has high PR and is known to have certain authority with google. no one will want to submit an unique article to a site that is new.

    think about it... there are plenty of article directories out there that are high in PR. at the same time, there are lots of web 2.0 sites where people can publish their unique content where it will get indexed by itself and will provide better link juice than what a new article directory can offer.

    if you were to pick between a well established high pr article directory/web 2.0 site and a brand new article directory to submit your unique content, which one would you pick?

    not trying to discourage you, just showing you what other people will be thinking before submitting

    Agreed. You are right and we already had an idea of this so we are offering 80% adsense impressions to the authors and two links right in the body of an article. And I am sure you know that those famous web-two-point-zeroes have lost tons of traffic after the panda update because they had no check on their content. We are maintaining those checks....

    In short, it is more of a "make money from your backlinks" thing.

    I too agree with "sultanofseo" People will use their original content on high pr site. and sorry I can't understand what you mean by "offering 80% adsense impressions to the authors" are you sharing adsense revenue with authors adsense like other revenue sharing if yes then this model my work just to promote it the right way.
