    Hey there,

I just finished building a kick-ass medical science/technology site but I have very little time to promote it.

I'm looking for inbound links, targeted traffic and web 2.0 marketing -- or anything that is effective in getting targeted visitors these days.

My goal is to get 1000 visitors a day.

Anyhow, if you think you can help me out let me know. I'll give you the url to promote and am willing to put a couple bucks into this project. Please send me a private message if you are interested.

    Thanks for your help.

    J

If you have very little time for promotion, then you can also outsource it.

Promotion is very important and having a right strategy for your website promotion is most important.

Now, for getting 1000 visitors day, you will have to really work hard initially.

Use everything from forum posting, social bookmarking, blog commenting and every other way of getting traffic first. Once you have started to get a contant traffic, try to build quality backlinks, which will help you to rank higher in search engines.

Even if you can outsource the promotion, you should still have time to attend to it. A good example though is through Adwords. You only pay when someone clicks on it.

Then, follow the suggestions of BlackhatVault above.

But you may want to understand first how you want to make money from it. Offer service, Google Adsense, affiliate marketing, or selling your own product?

    1,000 vistors a day? That's it?

You talk as if you are shooting for the moon.

Advertise it. Even a little will bring you that, and more.

And, no, search engines ("inbound links") will not bring you that many. Hell, not even close. That is, IF you are even lucky enough to land on page one.

Can't say much more without seeing this "kick-ass" site.

Some very good suggestions here from BlackhatVault. I tend to follow that format to promote my sites. Once you get to the backlink stage, I tend to exchange links with more and more popular sites, whilst keeping up with the social networking angle etc. If you really put the hours in, you'll gradually see that you are making good headway, and it will reap rewards. All too many sites fail, because they treat site promotion as if it's a minor consideration.
