My kids and I have decided to try to implement revenue sharing somehow in our site. We need writers because the site is brand new. We thought if we could add revenue sharing it would bring more people. Unfortunately I read somewhere at google that you have to have some unGodly amount of traffic before you can add it? Is there another way? Any ideas on how to get writers? We like the idea of our writers making money, we just can pay them yet, and thought ads would be the way to go. We are still fixing some bugs but want to get this going before we submit it as their science project at school.

Thank you all, you guys are brilliant.

    :)

You can use PHP to add their adsense code into the page every other page view, instead of yours. (or whatever % of pageviews you want)

Many writers, including myself, are happy to give you their articles, providing that they can include their URL and a sales pitch at the end of their content.

Look for them by doing a search on such sites, like about.com.

What kind of articles are you looking for?

Take a look at the bottom of the page on this link.

There are a few options. You don't need to use the Google API, until you've got enough traffic. You can use built in scripting to rotate the ads. There's plugins for Wordpress, Joomla, and others that are free. Also vBulletin allows it as well.

Of course then comes my question again about duplicate content. hmmmm If only there was a way to insure original exclusive works. That's why we were thinking revenue sharing.

Well, in addition to what I said in your other thread, you have to also keep in mind that many writers, again, like myself will not submit a really good article to just one site. We would lose money. A good writer can make somewhat good money from one article that is submitted to a lot of sites out there, rather than just one.

And as a Webmaster, it won't hurt you at all. In fact, it could actually hurt you. Per what I said in your other thread.

    Anyway, good luck out there.
