I was wondering if someone could possibly help me here ( with info not money ) on what i can do to put myself back on my feet ... I started my website EveryPipe.com 3 months ago and joined Google , Yahoo , MSN for Pay Per Clicks .. At first i said to myself ill work in my headshop ( I have 2 of them ) and then at night when i get home I'll pack and ship the few orders ( Garage Packed w/merchandise ) .. It turned out i was getting an order almost EVERY 30 MINUTES ...sometimes even more , Huge orders !! My first month i made over 15k pure profit , I was Packing items from Midnight till sunrise almost every day . Then came Google and deleted all my keywords leaving me without all the normal keywords i need such as glass pipes , wholesale glass pipes , ect . 2 Days later yahoo , and 2 months later msn stopped accepting my ads , Im not banned they just emailed me they have a strict policy against paraphanilia and now instead of doing $1,000 a day on average , im doing more like $50 average . Very Upsetting ... I turned to all these buy hits cheap sites that basiclly while watching the customer online i see they dont move meaning time in 3:03 am ,its now 3:45 am with a last click of 3:03 am kinna tells me this is just BS !! ( bots ) Im willing to try anything for traffic but im very dumb with affiliate programs and i really dont have too much time for all this , Its a shame for me to give up because im not that type of person that gives up and the first month with being on all those search engines i made so much money i just CANT .. I was wondering before i just give up and slam my business for sale is there any way around these search engines , like perhaps buy a prepaid credit card and try again from a different name to advertise ? I am so depressed i cannot advertise on Google , and all the major Search Engines anymore ... At first i was telling myself ahh google doesnt want me "F" them but its not like that as i see how bad i need them ...
Should try adbrite or go to websites that people would want to buy the pipes go to and see what advertising they are using
It'll be very hard to regain the sort of profit you were bringing in with Google through AdBrite, but it's worth a try. If you find a bunch of sites to advertise on through the AdBrite site directory, give each of them a try (purchase a week long ad on each) and see which converts best. The issue with AdBrite is that the ads are rarely ever clicked, and so webmasters with "medium traffic" websites (which usually are the best and highest converting) will give up on them and switch back to AdSense. You've proven to yourself that you can earn a sustainable income, so stick at it and don't give up. Unless you find a way to advertise with Google again it's unlikely you'll get back to the $15k-$30k/month profit, but it shouldn't be too hard to get back to earning a nice bonus on top of your day job. Never ever touch the cheap hits website again -- they have never worked and never will. I know it's easy to get seduced by the sales letter and testimonials, but believe me, most of them are fake. All the best, Liam
Hi, NEVER GIVE UP! The fact that you were making money means you have hit pay dirt. What you need to do now is to find alternative means of traffic. If Google, Yahoo and MSN are not accepting you, go for the smaller PPC search engines like Miva, GoClick, and so on. Though they cannot compare with Google, if you are willing to spread on many of them, they can still add up. These are great for pulling in traffic, subscribers and sales. 1. Article Marketing 2. You could always try SEO. Usually offers a competitive ROI. Being a little evil, I happen to own a internet marketing company that offers SEO. You should stop over and get a quote.
manishma, slow down! $3,000 is a huge amount to pour into something that is purely an experiment. The max I'd invest is $100 and see if I get any conversions out of it. I'd then calculate the ROI and work out if it'd be worth continuing on with AdBrite. If not, I'd move onto another ad network.
Maybe you could try traditional advertising like in magazines and what not. High-times or other alt-cultural magazines... Possibly a grassroots effort of sorts with actual customers of your store like have them spread the word and for every sale made on your website referred by them they get some type of discount or something. May not get instant results but could start something.
