Does anyone know if it is possible to convert Excel into HTML while maintaining the functions and properties of Excel?

For example, a cell in Excel is used as an input box. Then depending on what is inputted into the input box, the IF function in Excel will determine the output that is displayed in another cell.

Please help because this is part of a school project.

    Thanks in advance!

I think there is a built-in feature that will do this in excel. It may have been an add-on product I can't remember I used it along time ago. I think there is one in OpenOffice also if you have that. I'll see if I can find it and post here if I do.

no it isnt out of the box. There are online versions of excel and spreadsheets in general that can operate in a similar way and load xls files as their base but in comparison to the desktop version their functionality is limited.

    jmhyer123,

If you are talking about saving the file as an xml file: i tried that, but the functions don't work because the cell doesn't work like an input box.

Everything works in excel, but when i tried to convert to an xml file, then it doesn't.

I'll wait to see what you find out.
