CTR has been really low lately. I can't say the number due to AdSense policies, but I can at least say it's been below average. I just moved around my ads and I believe that they're now in a good position. If you guys could, review my site and also make any suggestions on color scheme, ad layout, and so on, I would greatly appreciate it. http://www.ultimateperfectpushupreview.com/ PS: I realize that my site's design is relatively cruddy. That was my first blog ever. My new website is http://www.amanzblog.com/
You are using default Blogger Template which is also using by some other millions of people like you. Give your Blog a unique and good look. Also try to add a 160 X 600px skyscraper ad in both left and right sidebars.
You can put - 200x200 square on the right sidebar - 468x60 banner on the top of your post But your template is not good for Adsense. If you want to increase your CTR, use Adsense Ready templates! You can check out the tag Adsense Ready on my blog to get some Blogger Templates I created http://themelib.com/tag/adsense-ready/ Good luck
Hmmm...maybe you can try by moving your left column link unit to the middle of your page so it will appear beside your blog posts. Or else you visitors will keep scrolling to the bottom and miss out on the ads. Just my suggestion...
You need to change your overall design first. It almost comes off a little disorienting when you are trying to read through. Then what you should do is place your ads strategically. Have one at the top of your page in a 780x90 or whatever it is leaderboard. Then have your other ads on the left side of your text. The reason you want to place your ads here is because if you put one at the header it's the first thing people see, and if you put them to the left side of your text the same principal applies. People read from left to right so after every sentence they are going to be seeing that ad again.
