Hello, I am launching a very project of mine. http://www.orkutpoint.com It's a free to use graphics site. Love graphics, friends graphics, glitter graphics etc. You have seen many myspace graphic sites now it's for orkut.com Can you tell me the best way or any idea how to promote it? I shall be very thankful to you for giving me ideas. Thanks
You already have an Orkut account, right? Look for those communities where people ask to be added as friends. Add as many friends as you can and let others add you too. Then start leaving scraps to each of them, using your graphics, of course. Alternatively you could hire some Orkut users to leave scraps to their existing friends. Keep in mind that Orkut is dominated by Brazilians (I'm one of them, by the way). There are English-speaking users as well, but they aren't nearly as active. So, unless your graphics are in Portuguese and appeal to the Brazilian audience, you won't go too far with such a site. EDITED: I've just visited your site. All graphics are in English... Hmm... Well, I guess the "I Love You," "Happy Birthday" and "Merry Christmas" images could appeal to an international audience because those sentences are well-known around the world. Good luck!
Yeh i totally agree with you. To make graphics all in Portuguese language is difficult now. But without this it isn't possible to make my site popular. I am learning how to make glitter but it's not easy to write stuff. I need translator then. Any more ideas to promote?
Nice site, and congrats on your new venture. I would really suggest to get just a few phrases in Portugese done, and then some graphics with them. You can prolly get away with Thanks for the Add, and a few other generic ones like that. I just started on Orkut, so I'll stop by your site when I have the need to. Best of luck...
