Do some keyword research, find some keywords with low competition you could get a high ranking for, optimise a page for that keyword, get one-way dofollow backlinks for that keyword from high pr sites with anchor text, keep going til you get a high ranking.

When thats done, pick another keyword, and do it again!

Over time, you'll start to show up in the search engines for all kinds of long-tail keywords.

Also get involved with forums in your niche with a link to your site in your signature.

Post comments on blogs in your niche that get a lot of readers - get your name out there.

    PPC is another option

There are a lot of forums for gamers out there, I suggest signing up to some of them. I would also suggest hosting a forum on your own as well as creating a blog.

I think first you optimize your website, do have quality content in your website and then go for off page optimization.if u have videos post them or upload the in video related sites.

I think you want to make sure your content is really great. Set up a great internal link structure where your pages/posts are linking to each other (relevantly). Then make sure you have content that people would actually be interested in. Have more than 5 posts or pages at least. Then when your site would serve some use to others start promoting it.

You can even email other gamer sites and tell them why your site is unique and how it will compliment their sites.

At first glance at your site it is hard to know what it is.
I would move the welcome text from the bottom towards the top making sure it is above the fold. (can be viewed without scrolling)
I believe you will want to make the homepage a bit more exciting with some scores, forum comments, upcoming tournaments, and so on.
Perhaps go to Templatemonster and view their games templates for some ideas.

As stated before you will need to work on your SEO.
Your homepage title is "Welcome to the home of gamer tournaments"
Perhaps change it to something a bit more descriptive with your keywords.

I also see that you need to be registered to view the forum. Perhaps let people view the forum but not be able to post until they are registered. If I am not mistaken, blocking guests will also block Google from indexing any of the forum's pages.

The best of luck to you,

    Ken

Forums, groups, and basically associating with people is the fastest way to get traffic in short term, however, if you want to look more into the long term, search engine optimization is a must.

I generally do both like I am doing now. :)

Your quite right there... Social bookmarking is really a traffic gatherer for sites, with great content and exciting look of the site, you're sure to attract more traffic.
